- If Mover's Suite is installed on your local machine it will use the same connection file Mover's Suite uses.
If Mover's Suite is not installed then you will need to manually input your SQL settings.
The SQL database must be able to be reached for this addin to work.
- You will be prompted to install the SQL procedures to your database. (This only
needs to be done once.)
This requires sa access to install the procedures and login necessary for this addin to function.
Enter the sa password and click OK.
- Outlook should finish loading and you should see the "Save to Mover's Suite"
button on your ribbon.
- You can enable or disable any of the features by clicking File->UMS AddIn and
changing any of the drop downs.
- To use custom calendaring you will need to complete one step for all of your
salesperson's shared calendars.
(This only needs to be done once and will most likely
already have been done by your admin.)
Go to Calendars and right click a salesperson's calendar and click
properties.
- In the Description box on the General tab type the Full Name of the salesperson
exactly as it is in Mover's Suite, and click OK.
Repeat this step for every person you want to use the custom calendar.
(Previously entered appointments are not affected and will open normally.)
- The custom sales form can send an automated email to the customer.
This feature uses the Branch information in the Mover's
Suite database. Open your local Movers Suite Administration web site. Make sure
that all of your company information is correct and that you have all the
contact info entered.
A few things you have to change are:
Your 800 number in the Contact field
Your website address in the email field.
- If you get the following Security Popup when using the program in Mover's Suite your admin can get rid of them by installing
this
application.
- When the Outlook AddIn opens it tries to copy the newest version of the Sales
Appointment program to your local Mover's Suite\ThirdParty folder. Your admin will need to set
permissions via group Policy or install it manually. The instructions are
located
here
